Submission Pathways

Authors may select between two submission pathways depending on their publication goals.

Abstract Only

For consideration for Oral (8 mins + 2 mins Q&A) or Poster presentation at the congress.

Published in J Assoc Gen Surg Thai (TCI-indexed).

Abstract + Full Manuscript

Fast-Track Review for potential publication in the Siriraj Medical Journal (SMJ) Supplement (Scopus-indexed).

No publication fee for accepted papers (Original research only).

Special Contest

Undergraduate Research Contest

We cordially invite medical students and undergraduate students to submit their research work for presentation and celebrate the achievements of our future surgeons and scientists.

Eligibility

Conducted with substantial participation by medical or undergraduate students.
Must be supervised by a faculty surgeon as the advisor.

Format & Awards

Format: Oral presentation (8 mins) + Q&A (2 mins).
Certificates: All presenters receive a Certificate of Presentation.
Recognition: Outstanding presentations will receive Awards & Prizes.

Types of Research Accepted

Original research of all study designs are accepted, including but not limited to:

Randomized controlled trials (RCT) Cohort studies Case-control studies Cross-sectional studies Diagnostic accuracy studies Systematic reviews & meta-analyses Case reports & case series

Abstract Specifications

All submissions must adhere to the standard formatting criteria below before submitting through the portal.

Language

English only across all categories and presentations.

Word Limit

Maximum 250 words (excluding title, authors, and affiliations).

Structure

Must include: Objective, Materials & Methods, Results, Conclusion.

Ethics & Compliance

IRB approval, informed consent, and reporting guidelines (CONSORT, STROBE, PRISMA).
